Extended application of fire test results under the European EN 15254 series.
An extended application report (EXAP — Extended Application Report) is a technical document that extends the validity of the results of a fire resistance test to configurations similar to the one tested, but not identical to it.
It is issued by accredited testing bodies (such as Istituto Giordano, Efectis Italia, CSI) on the basis of methodologies standardised at European level by the EN 15254 and EN 15269 series.

Take a real example from our range: Non-load-bearing wall EI 120, h ≤ 12 m, 2 FIREGUARD 13 boards. EXAP report No. 392561specifies:
Under Italian D.M. 16 February 2007 and the subsequent Circular U.0016073 of 30 November 2020, an EXAP report carries the same legal weight as the original classification report, provided that:
Assessment reports drawn up by individual professionals (external engineers or architects) are no substitute for an EXAP report issued by an accredited body. Only through the official technical file can the manufacturer guarantee the designer the safe use of a system beyond its direct field of application.
