the VENTILATION GRILLES “GB-GA 60” are fire-rated grilles for the protection of air-exchange areas. They consist of slotted calcium silicate and calcium sulphate boards fitted with intumescent material which, in the event of fire, expands, completely closing every through opening. There are in fact many cases in which an exchange of air is required between two rooms separated by a fire-resisting partition. To achieve this, transfer grilles must be used, if the exchange is to be natural, or air transfer systems if the exchange is to be forced. In the first case, a connection between the two compartments must be provided, and it must necessarily remain open. The VENTILATION GRILLES “GB-GA 60” are able to ensure the correct air change by natural ventilation while guaranteeing adequate fire resistance in the event of fire.
