penetrations through membrane and collaborating suspended ceilings and ceiling bulkheads
GLOBAL CROSS is an accessory for the protection of penetrations of combustible and non-combustible pipes, cable bundles and single cables on membrane and collaborating suspended ceilings and ceiling bulkheads, fire-resistant self-supporting shaft walls and sandwich panels. It consists of two/three layers of FIREGUARD® 45 boards, 45 mm thick, cut to size according to the dimensions of the penetration. For the protection of penetrations on shaft walls, two layers of FIREGUARD® 45 boards must be used, screwed to each other and to “L” profiles fixed to the studs. For the other types of penetration, three layers of FIREGUARD® 45 boards must be used, screwed to each other and to supporting profiles fixed to the floor slab by means of hangers made of 4 mm diameter steel rod and special adjustable hooks. The assembly thus formed shall be positioned simply resting on the suspended ceiling.
