Description

the PROTECTION FOR CEILING LIGHT FITTINGS “GB-LIGHT-S” is a protection specifically designed to make it possible to insert recessed lighting points (ceiling light fittings) into suspended ceilings, guaranteeing their fire resistance, which would otherwise be compromised. “GB-LIGHT-S” can be applied to collaborating suspended ceilings up to REI 180 and to EI 60 membrane ceilings. It consists of a box made of NAPER S 8 boards, 8 mm thick, completed by a layer of rock mineral wool: - for collaborating suspended ceilings up to REI 180 th. 40 mm - density 60 kg/m3 - for EI 60 membrane ceilings th. 2 x 40 mm - density 60 kg/m3

Application and installation

The “GB-LIGHT-S” protection shall be installed by assembling the 4 vertical sides with special angle brackets fixed with self-drilling screws and suspended by means of suitable hangers. The protection is completed by inserting the upper NAPER S 8 panel and a rock mineral wool blanket according to the required fire resistance.
