- Characteristics
- Fire-resistant cement-based plaster certified EI 30 as a separation layer on roofs for photovoltaic panels. Suitable for outdoor use on any type of roof, it has a density of 640 kg/m3. Istituto Giordano certificate no. 441162/4536FR -The product is extremely lightweight, almost a quarter of the weight of standard concrete. -It has high durability and toughness characteristics. -Resistant to explosion overpressure up to 3 bar. -Resistant to water jets. -Easy to apply by spray or with a trowel. -Non-combustible. -Free from chlorides and sulphides. -Asbestos-free. -Non-friable and with high impact resistance. Colour: mottled grey. Finish: textured. If a smooth finish is required, it can be obtained with a trowel or float, typically within 1÷2 hours of application.
- Coverage
- THEORETICAL 12÷14 kg/m2 for a thickness of 25,4 mm. One 22,7 kg bag covers 1,66 m² at a thickness of 25,4 mm
- Substrate preparation
- before the application of F62 CRETE, the substrate must be free from oils, greases or other contaminants. LIMITATIONS The product is not a refractory cement and cannot be used where continuous operating temperatures exceed 93°C. PROCEDURES FOR
- Application
- F62 CRETE can be applied by spray or by trowel. For horizontal application, the material can be applied in a single layer up to 25,4 mm For vertical applications it will be necessary to apply it in layers of 12,7 mm each, in order to embed it in the metal plaster lath. The material must be allowed to set for 1÷2 hours before applying the subsequent layers, and the total required thickness must be applied within 24 hours. The product must be wetted with water before applying the subsequent layers. APPLICATION CONDITIONS the material must be applied in a temperature range from 4 to 38 °C. The fresh product must be protected from rain or running water for at least 24 hours. In case of low humidity and high temperatures, direct sun or wind, the surface must be kept damp for at least 12 hours by applying a water mist or wrapping in plastic sheets to reduce rapid water loss. Do not apply the product if the ambient temperature is expected to drop below two degrees in the 24 hours following application. PUMP APPLICATION Use a heavy-duty mixer rotating at 40 rpm, with rubber-tipped blades that scrape the sides and bottom. A 22,7 kg bag of F62 CRETE requires a minimum mixer volume of 227 litres. Do not use pan mixers. MIXING add clean water with the mixer running at low speed, add the powder and mix for five minutes until a homogeneous mortar-like consistency is obtained. Longer mixing times may produce lower densities. The total water must not exceed 20 litres per bag. In cold weather lukewarm water may be used; in hot weather, cold water. WORKABILITY - POT LIFE at 21 °C the workability of the product is approximately two hours. These times may vary depending on different humidity and temperature conditions. EQUIPMENT F62 CRETE can be applied with a wide range of piston, rotor-stator and diaphragm pumps designed for pumping cementitious and gypsum-based materials. DELIVERY HOSE use a delivery hose with a 1” (25,4 mm) internal diameter and a minimum pressure rating of 300 PSI. For lengths over 15 m use a one-and-a-half-inch (38 mm) hose. A section of one-inch hose can be added to the gun as a whip. NOZZLE: use nozzles from 3/8” to 1/2” COMPRESSOR make sure the air supply is at least 690 kPa or higher when distances exceed 22 m. Use an air line hose with a 1/2” (12,7 mm) internal diameter and a minimum pressure of 690 kPa. CLEANING the pump, the mixer and the hose must be cleaned with clean water at least every four hours at 21 °C, and more often at higher temperatures. Run sponges through the hoses to remove residual material. Wet excess product must be cleaned with soapy or clean water. Hardened excess material may require chiselling or scraping. MANUAL APPLICATION for small surfaces, the material can be applied with a mason’s trowel and smoothed with a rubber float.
- Finish
