the FIRE COLLARS “GB-C EXTRA PLUS” are collars for the external sealing of penetrations of pipes in PVC, PE, PP, ABS, SAN+PVC and multilayer composite; they consist of a metal shell made up of two half-rings, so that they can be easily positioned around the pipe to be protected Inside there is a graphite-based intumescent material which ensures, during the fire and before the pipe melts completely, complete closure of the penetration opening; in addition, the metal structure ensures a perfect seal of the intumescent material inside the structure itself. In the event of fire, combustible pipes burn and melt in a few minutes, leaving a free gap which represents a critical area capable of compromising the fire resistance of a compartment element. The FIRE COLLARS “GB-C EXTRA PLUS” overcome this problem thanks to their particular structure and their functional characteristics, forming, from the very first minutes of the fire, an insulating foam that closes the passage.
