the protection for recessed air-conditioning units “GB-SPLIT” is specifically designed to make it possible to insert recessed air-conditioning units into REI accessible suspended ceilings, with the exclusion of membrane ceilings, guaranteeing their fire resistance, which would otherwise be compromised. It improves the thermal and acoustic insulation of the suspended ceiling, requires no maintenance and is easy to remove and reinstall during maintenance work. Made of a special silica-based fibre fabric, it is faced with an aluminium foil. The protection for recessed air-conditioning units “GB-SPLIT” is sized so as to cover a wide range of units available on the market. The system is equipped with a special GLOBAL COLLAR PLUS universal collar for the protection of the pipes serving the air-conditioning unit, to be fitted on site. The protection for recessed air-conditioning units “GB-SPLIT” allows a design unconstrained by the integrity requirement with regard to the fire resistance of an accessible suspended ceiling into which air-conditioning points have been inserted. The low weight and flexibility of the product make it easy to install without overloading the suspended ceiling structure.
