VENTILATED DOUBLE-SKIN FAÇADE - NON-ACCESSIBLE CLOSED/OPEN OUTER SKIN - SOLUTION WITH JOINT IN CAVITY

Supply and installation of a vertical separation band with height ≥1 metre, with fire resistance EI 30 made with one FIREGUARD® 18 board, 18 mm thick, and with fire resistance EI 60 made with two FIREGUARD® 13 boards, 12,7 mm thick; boards made of calcium silicates and sulphates, asbestos-free, produced by lamination with factory-controlled drying, in class A1 (non-combustible) reaction to fire, in accordance with classification report I.G. 403517/4302FR (EI 30) and I.G. 260329/3145FR (EI 60).

EI 30 The boards are to be installed vertically with phosphated self-drilling screws, dia. 3,5 mm, length 25 mm, at 250 mm spacing, to “Z” metal profiles (double “L”) 50x40x50x0,6 mm at 600 mm centres and inserted into “U” tracks 50x40x0,6 mm placed at floor and ceiling. EI 60 The boards will be installed vertically with staggered joints, with phosphated self-drilling screws, diameter 3,5 mm, length 25 mm at 600 mm spacing for the inner layer and length 35 mm at 250 mm spacing for the outer layer, to “C” metal profiles 75x50x0,6 mm at 600 mm centres and inserted into “U” tracks 75x40x0,6 mm placed at floor and ceiling. The supply will include ventilated horizontal separation joints with fire resistance EI 60 made with “GB-P ventilated” joints consisting of semi-rigid mineral fibre panels faced with aluminium foil, reaction to fire class A1 non-combustible, 90 mm thick, with closure of the ventilation area up to 50 mm.
