the SEALANT “GB-MT GRAPHITE” is an anthracite-coloured elastomeric sealant, with a highly specific graphite-based formulation, designed to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and gas through openings in walls and floor slabs. When subjected to the action of fire, “GB-MT GRAPHITE” expands, closing the space left open by materials with a low melting point. “GB-MT GRAPHITE” is able to seal penetrations of large-diameter combustible pipes, where ordinary firestop mastics usually cannot reach. The SEALANT “GB-MT GRAPHITE” can be easily applied using a suitable gun, using shaped cardboard shields to obtain the minimum required sealing thickness. The outer surface can be levelled with a spatula or a damp sponge. The SEALANT “GB-MT GRAPHITE” can be painted over.
