The GLOBAL COLLAR universal fire collar makes it possible to protect, with EI 90/120 fire resistance, penetrations of combustible pipes in PVC, PE, PP and multilayer composite, insulated and uninsulated, up to an external diameter of 160 mm; and insulated copper and steel pipes up to a diameter of 108 mm. The GLOBAL COLLAR universal fire collar consists of the high-efficiency intumescent wrap wound in one or more layers around the pipe and fixed to the wall or floor slab by means of a segmented metal band and suitable brackets. In the event of fire, combustible pipes and the insulation of non-combustible pipes burn and melt within a few minutes, leaving an open gap which represents a critical area capable of compromising the fire resistance of a compartment element. The “GLOBAL COLLAR” UNIVERSAL FIRE COLLAR overcomes this problem thanks to its special structure and its functional characteristics, forming, from the very first minutes of the fire, an insulating foam that hermetically closes off the passage.
