Specification clause

Supply and installation of an interior partition wall with EI 45 fire resistance, built with two FIREGUARD® 13 boards per side, thickness 2x12.7 mm, made of calcium silicates and sulphates, asbestos-free, produced by lamination with in-plant drying control, reaction-to-fire class A1 (non-combustible), in accordance with classification report I.G. 264458/3161FR and Technical File 399949.

The boards shall be installed horizontally with phosphated self-drilling screws, diam. 3.5 mm, length 25 mm at 500 mm spacing for the first layer and length 35 mm at 250 mm spacing for the second layer, fixed to “C” metal profiles 75x50x0.6 mm placed at 500 mm centres, inserted in “U” channels 75x40x0.6 mm, fixed to floor and ceiling. Joints and screw heads shall be finished with FIREGUARD COMPOUND joint filler.
