- Characteristics
- Anti-rust primer for steel structures to be protected with F62 PAINT S or F62 PAINT S-PLUS intumescent fire-protection treatment, or with F62 PAINT in the case of trapezoidal steel deck floor slabs or high-massivity steel profiles.

- Single-component epoxy-acrylic anticorrosive primer.

- Substrate preparation
- Prepare the surface to be treated by blasting or mechanical brushing to grade SA 2 1/2.
- Dilution
- 0 - 10% with water.
- Application
- F62 PRIMER S can be applied by roller, brush or spray. FOR IRON OR CAST IRON: Apply the F62 PRIMER S anti-rust primer to a thickness of 60 dry microns (120 wet microns). After 8 - 12 hours apply F62 PAINT S or F62 PAINT in several coats at intervals of 18 - 24 hours until the required thickness is reached. Once 24 hours have passed since the application of the last coat, the F62 FINISH topcoat enamel can be applied at a consumption equal to 85 dry microns (220 wet microns). For spray application use an Airless pump with 0,43 - 0,58 mm (0,017'' - 0,023'') nozzles; nozzle pressure 15 MPa (150 kg/cm2, 2100 psi); compression ratio 45:1 (pressure 150 ÷ 180 kg/cm2).
- Coverage
- Theoretical coverage of 5,0 ÷ 12,5 m2/l, corresponding to 3,7 ÷ 9,3 m2/kg (6,2 m2/kg recommended). For Airless application, allow for 20% waste.
- Application temperature
- Apply at temperatures between + 10°C and + 40°C. The actual temperature during application must be at least 3°C above the dew point and the relative humidity must not exceed 70%.
- Drying
- With a surface temperature of 23°C: - Dust-free 1 h. - Touch-dry 4 h. - Complete 8 h. - Minimum overcoating time 4 ÷ 6 h.
- Maintenance
- Periodically check the integrity of the paint film. In the event of damage, clean back to the substrate and restore the protective system in the affected area.
- Packaging and storage
- 10 kg pail. Product stable for 6 months if kept in its original containers at a temperature between +5°C and +30°C. Protect from frost. Non-flammable product.
- Warnings
- F62 PRIMER S is classified as a Non-Hazardous Product according to Directive 67/548 EEC and subsequent amendments. It is advisable to follow the precautions required for the use of products such as water-based paints or plastic wall coatings (work clothing, gloves, etc.). Do not breathe the mist produced by spraying.
