“GB-P” PANELS and INTUM. WRAP “GB-T”
Application
Floor Penetrations · Penetr. Of Insulated Non-Combustible Pipes

Supply and installation of protection for penetrations of insulated non-combustible pipes with certified EI 60/90 C/U fire resistance in floor slabs, consisting of INTUMESCENT WRAP “GB-T”, 50 mm wide, and “GB-P” PANELS, semi-rigid mineral fibre (density 150 kg/m³) 60 mm thick, coated on both sides with a fire-protection coating, in accordance with classification reports ETA 21/0113. Measure the dimensions and shape of both the opening to be sealed and the penetrating pipe, transfer them onto the “GB-P” PANELS and cut them using hand saws or utility knives. Leave the cut-out slightly oversized with respect to the dimensions of the opening to be sealed. Apply a small amount of SEALANT “GB-MT” to the sides of the cut-out or directly onto the inner edge of the floor slab. Insert the cut-out into the opening with an “interference” fit and skim the joints with a spatula using the SEALANT “GB-MT”. Position one “GB-P” PANEL on the underside of the floor slab. In the case of a pipe insulated with expanded elastomers, the INTUMESCENT WRAP “GB-T” must be wrapped around the insulation, secured with adhesive
tape to join its ends, and inserted into the gap remaining between the pipe and the “GB-P” PANELS. Apply the number of layers indicated according to the pipe diameter. In the case of a pipe insulated with rock mineral wool it is necessary to seal the perimeter of the pipe with SEALANT “GB-MT” through the full thickness of the “GB-P” PANEL. For installation procedures, refer to the specific “installation manual”.
