PROTECTION FOR AIR DIFFUSER

Supply and installation of AIR DIFFUSER PROTECTION “GB-AIR” with fire resistance REI 120 certified on a 200 mm thick hollow clay block floor slab protected by an accessible suspended ceiling, consisting of a special silica-based fibre fabric faced with an aluminium foil, fitted with a special GLOBAL COLLAR AIR collar for the protection of the air supply duct, in conformity with ETA 23/0843. It is necessary to position the AIR DIFFUSER PROTECTION “GB- AIR” above the diffuser, make a cross-shaped cut at

the mouth of the diffuser and insert the neck of the diffuser mouth through the cut made in the fabric. Cut away the excess triangular portions of fabric, fit the duct onto the diffuser neck, apply the first metal band around the duct and secure it with a metal clamp on the same diffuser neck. Wrap the intumescent strip over the diffuser neck (6 turns for ducts up to dia. 140 mm and 8 turns for ducts up to 315 mm) and secure it with the second metal band.
