PENETR. OF INSULATED NON-COMBUSTIBLE PIPES

Supply and installation of protection for penetrations of insulated metal pipes with certified EI 120 fire resistance in floor slabs, consisting of INTUMESCENT WRAP “GB-T”, nominal section 40x2 mm, and “GB-P” PANELS, semi-rigid mineral fibre (density 150 kg/mc) 60 mm thick, treated on both sides with a layer of fire-protection coating, in accordance with classification reports ETA 21/0113, I.G. 392775/4207FR and I.G. 392776/4208FR. It is necessary to measure the diameter of the pipe to be protected, including its insulation, and wrap the INTUMESCENT WRAP “GB-T” around the pipe for the required number of turns (see table). Measure the dimensions and shape of both the opening to be sealed and the penetrating pipe, transfer them onto the “GB-P” PANELS and cut them, taking care to leave the cut-out slightly oversized with respect to the dimensions of the opening to be sealed. Apply a small amount of FIRESTOP SEALANT “GB-MT” to the sides of the cut-out or directly onto the inner edge of the floor slab where the cut-out will be fitted. Insert the panel sections into the opening with an “interference” fit and skim the joints with a spatula using the SEALANT “GB-MT”.
