electrical cable penetrations, penetrations of insulated and uninsulated non-combustible pipes, closure of openings.

the “GB-P” PANELS are fire protection panels suitable for closing penetrations of electrical cables, insulated and uninsulated non-combustible pipes and openings left unused. All cables, including flame-retardant ones, burn under generalised fire conditions, becoming, as is well known, one of the most widespread and dangerous causes of fire spread. Correct protection of electrical penetrations is therefore absolutely necessary to lower the level of risk of any civil or industrial environment. The “GB-P” PANELS consist of a semi-rigid mineral fibre panel (density 150 kg/m3, thickness 60 mm) treated on both sides with a layer of insulating coating. As the temperature rises above 200°C, the special coating applied to the panel undergoes a change of state of its components, followed by a gradual release of water vapour and consequent absorption of energy (temperature reduction). Once the sublimation effect is exhausted, the mineral wool panels provide correct insulation for the entire fire exposure. The structure of the panel thus guarantees an effective fire barrier, preventing any passage of flame. The “GB-P” PANELS are mechanically stable and can be easily removed.
